As he points out, the Netherlands is probably the most thoroughly studied, planned, and designed country on Earth. Captioned graphics introduce 134 projects, grouped in conceptual categories, such as "Extreme Logic" and "Hedonistic Landscapes." A separate section consists of essays, speeches, and book excerpts by various authors on aspects of design in the Netherlands. Both books would suit academic libraries supporting relevant departments.
